Was a Peruvian artist who lived and worked between Lima, New York, and Berlin. His practice encompassed sculpture, installation, photography, painting, video, and the use of found objects, exploring themes such as urban memory, language, cultural cartography, and geopolitical displacement.

Working frequently with reclaimed materials and remnants from the city, Borea transformed these elements into poetic compositions that investigate the fragility of social systems and the tensions between center and periphery. His works employ accumulation, writing, and the manipulation of signs to question contemporary cultural and political structures.

Educated in Lima and later in the United States, he developed a practice deeply influenced by the experience of migration and by Peru’s recent history. Throughout his career he participated in numerous international exhibitions, residencies, and biennials, establishing himself as a singular voice within contemporary Latin American art.

His work is included in important public and private collections, including the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum (New York), the Museo de Arte de Lima (MALI), and El Museo del Barrio (New York).
