Founded in 2008 in Lima, Peru by the artist Giancarlo Scaglia, Revolver Galería emerged   at a moment when contemporary Latin American art was gaining increasing international visibility while remaining unevenly represented within global market structures.

From its inception, the gallery positioned itself not simply as a commercial space, but as a platform for critical engagement supporting artists whose practices confront political histories, social structures, and the evolving conditions of contemporary life across the region.

Over the past decade, Revolver has expanded beyond Lima, establishing a space in Buenos Aires in 2017 and later opening in New York in 2022. Across these locations, the gallery has developed a transnational program that bridges local artistic production with international circulation, participating in leading art fairs and fostering sustained dialogues between Latin American artists and global audiences.

Through its program, Revolver has contributed to the institutional recognition and international visibility of its artists, whose works have entered significant museum and private collections worldwide. The gallery remains committed to building long-term relationships with artists, collectors, curators, and institutions while continuing to support ambitious contemporary practices from Latin America within an increasingly interconnected global context.
